Weekend Getaway Hotels
You decided Thursday night. You want to leave Friday after work. Now you're staring at a hotel search page covered in "Only 2 rooms left!" banners, a popup asking if you want to subscribe, and a price that's somehow $40 higher than the one you saw 10 minutes ago. Welcome to booking a last-minute weekend getaway in 2025.
Most travel sites bury the stuff that matters under urgency theater and dark patterns. Weekend trips are short — usually 1 to 3 nights — so you don't have time to fight a website. You need to see real prices, real availability, and ideally not feel manipulated by the time you check out. That's what we're trying to do differently.
What you actually see when you search IMPT
One search bar. Dates, destination, guests. No "create an account to see prices." No countdown timers. Type, hit go.
Each hotel result shows three things in a single row:
- The total price — including weekend surge pricing if that's what the hotel is charging that night. We don't show you a Tuesday rate and surprise you at checkout.
- The carbon footprint of the stay, with the option to offset it via verified IMPT carbon credits.
- IMPT token rewards you earn on the booking, displayed before you commit, not after.
For weekend trips specifically, the walking-distance-to-attractions filter does a lot of work. Two nights isn't enough time to figure out a metro system in a new city. Filter to hotels within walking range of what you actually want to see, sort by price, done.
The honest comparison
We're not going to pretend IMPT beats Booking.com and Expedia at everything. Here's where we actually stand:
- Inventory size: Booking.com and Expedia have larger raw hotel inventories. We have 2+ million properties, which covers nearly every weekend destination, but if you're going somewhere extremely remote, they may have one or two listings we don't.
- Loyalty programs: If you've spent five years building Genius Level 3 or Expedia Rewards Gold, you'll lose that perk stack on IMPT. Honest tradeoff.
- Price transparency: We win. No "taxes and fees calculated at checkout" gotchas, no resort fees hidden behind three clicks.
- Pressure tactics: We win by not doing them. No fake scarcity banners.
- Rewards that aren't airline miles: We win. IMPT tokens are tradeable, and carbon offsetting is built in instead of being a $2 upsell.

Try it on a specific destination
Let's say it's a Wednesday and you want to go to Lisbon Friday to Sunday. Two nights, two people.
- Open the search, enter Lisbon, Friday–Sunday, 2 guests. No signup.
- Results load with weekend rates baked in. You'll likely see a range from around €70/night for solid 3-star spots in Bairro Alto up to €300+ for boutique places in Chiado.
- Apply the "walking distance to city center" filter. Now your list is hotels where you can drop your bag, walk to dinner, walk to Alfama, walk back. Zero transit planning.
- Look at the carbon estimate — typically 15–25 kg CO₂ for a 2-night urban hotel stay — and decide if you want to offset it for a couple of euros.
- See the IMPT token reward on the listing. Book.
The whole flow takes around 90 seconds if you know your dates. Try the same exercise on a budget — our under $100/night walkthrough is a good companion read — or if it's your first time on the platform, start with first-time booking.
Run a search. See for yourself.
The fastest way to find out whether this works for your weekend is to plug in your actual dates. No signup, no email, no commitment to look.
